A Day in the Life of is a mentorship program dedicated to helping young people make informed career decisions

How do we work?

We record interviews of various career professionals to learn what an average day in their field is like as well as what steps they took to get their job. Once completed, the interviews are edited and posted to our online catalogue.

To make a lasting impact, we know that we must actively engage and include the communities we are seeking to help. We are continually learning and growing in how we show up as an authentic, ethical partner.

In the future, we plan to electronically share our complete digital library FREE OF CHARGE with:

  • School districts

  • Large organizations who value young people

  • Incarcerated youth

We are currently compiling our online catalogue of career interviews and building relationships with community members and stakeholders.

In 2021, Brian retired as Captain on the Los Angeles Fire Department. During his 34 year career, he had the opportunity to mentor many young men and women in the fire service. He is currently employed as an Educational Assistant at a local high school. In 2022, he created and founded the "A Day in the Life of..." program.

Andrew is a senior at Southern Adventist University. He graduated from Centralia College with an Associates Degree in Arts. He is currently studying photography, film production, and entrepreneurship. He joined "A Day in the Life of..." as creative director in 2022.
